Tokyo, Japan metalcore force SABLE HILLS have returned with “Homura,” a brand-new single featuring acclaimed Japanese vocalist FUKI. Released September 18, 2026, the track brings together SABLE HILLS’ melodic and aggressive approach with FUKI’s commanding vocal presence, creating a powerful meeting point between two distinct sides of Japan’s heavy music scene. Written, composed and arranged by guitarist Rict Mishima, “Homura” expands the band’s catalogue with a track built around resilience, pain and the fire that remains after everything else has turned to ashes.
The title “Homura” translates to “flame,” and the song’s lyrics center on searching for peace beyond devastation while holding onto an inner fire. Its imagery moves through ruins, ashes, pain and perseverance before returning to the idea of a flame that refuses to disappear. That contrast between destruction and renewal gives “Homura” an emotionally charged foundation, while SABLE HILLS’ modern metalcore framework provides the weight behind its message.
FUKI brings an especially distinctive voice to the collaboration. The Japanese singer is known for her work with Unlucky Morpheus and DOLL$BOXX, as well as her solo career, making her appearance on “Homura” a notable crossover within Japan’s heavy music community. SABLE HILLS, meanwhile, have been active since 2015, developing a sound rooted in melodic metalcore while drawing influence from both modern heaviness and Japanese musical traditions.
“Homura” arrives with an official video and adds another powerful chapter to SABLE HILLS’ continuing rise. After years of taking their music beyond Japan, including their Wacken Open Air Metal Battle victory in 2022, the Tokyo outfit continue to push their melodic and emotionally driven metalcore into new territory.
