INSOMNIUM Drop "Arch of the Sky" Video

With their video for new single "Arch of the Sky," Finland's masters of melancholy INSOMNIUM delve into the realm of mythology.

Ville Friman (guitar, clean vocals) comments, "'Arch of the Sky' introduces a proggier side of the Netherworlds, featuring time signature changes and Insomnium's trademark blend of mellow passages and heavier sections. Lyrically, the song is inspired by Sámi mythology, in which celestial hunters pursue a deer across the arch of the sky in perpetual motion. According to the legend, if the deer were ever caught, the world would come to an end as the roof of the sky collapsed."

"Arch of the Sky" is the third track to be released from Insomnium's upcoming album, Netherworlds, which is scheduled for release on October 16. The album is available in the following formats, with pre-orders now live here.

Following a run of selected summer festival appearances, INSOMNIUM will hit the road for extensive touring worldwide. The band will join Amorphis for a European tour in January and February 2027 and have also recently unveiled plans for a North American tour.
