The release marks the first studio recording from the band to feature vocalist Tommy Roulette, who joined ILL NIÑO in 2025 after previously fronting Jynx. The track arrives as the latest step in a new chapter for the long-running New Jersey-based band, with ILL NIÑO currently working on their next full-length record.

“Born To Suffer” brings ILL NIÑO back to the combination of heaviness and Latin-influenced rhythmic elements that has remained central to their identity throughout their career.
