ILL NIÑO return with “Born To Suffer (Nacido Pa Sufrir),” a brand-new single accompanied by an official music video. The release marks the first studio recording from the band to feature vocalist Tommy Roulette, who joined ILL NIÑO in 2025 after previously fronting Jynx. The track arrives as the latest step in a new chapter for the long-running New Jersey-based band, with ILL NIÑO currently working on their next full-length record.
“Born To Suffer” brings ILL NIÑO back to the combination of heaviness and Latin-influenced rhythmic elements that has remained central to their identity throughout their career. The Spanish subtitle, “Nacido Pa Sufrir,” adds another layer to the track’s presentation, keeping the band’s bilingual character firmly in view. With Roulette now taking over vocal duties, the single also offers the first proper taste of how this new era of ILL NIÑO is beginning to sound.
The song was co-produced by ILL NIÑO members Dave Chavarri and Laz Pina, while the accompanying music video was directed by Tom Flynn, whose previous work includes videos for bands such as HATEBREED and AS I LAY DYING. The visual release gives “Born To Suffer” its full introduction while putting the band’s current lineup and new musical direction under the spotlight.
“Born To Suffer” is more than simply another ILL NIÑO single — it represents the beginning of a new phase for a band that has spent decades evolving without abandoning its core identity. With Tommy Roulette now behind the microphone and a new album taking shape, ILL NIÑO are moving forward once again. The next chapter has arrived, and “Born To Suffer” is its first heavy statement.
