Albany, New York heavyweights DOWNSWING have returned with “At My Worst,” a brand-new standalone single accompanied by an official music video directed by Chris Klumpp. The track arrives as the band's first new release since 2025's And Everything Was Dark and continues the evolution of a group that has steadily built a reputation for combining crushing heaviness, massive hooks and emotional honesty.
“At My Worst” centers on the struggle of maintaining balance while chasing goals and ambitions. According to the band, the song explores what happens when the pursuit of dreams begins to affect other parts of life, forcing difficult realizations about sacrifice and personal cost. The track captures the tension between ambition and self-preservation, delivering that message through a blend of aggressive riffs, driving rhythms and melodic moments that have become a defining part of DOWNSWING's identity.
Formed in Albany and active since 2016, DOWNSWING have steadily expanded their reach through releases including Good Intentions, New Lows, Let This Life Devour You and their full-length album And Everything Was Dark. Over the years, the band have developed a sound built on groove, atmosphere and emotional weight while remaining firmly rooted in modern metalcore. The release of “At My Worst” arrives just as DOWNSWING prepare for an extensive UK and European run with Casey, including stops in London, Glasgow, Cardiff, Vienna and Leipzig.
