BOLU2 DEATH Unveil Two Sides Of Their Sound With “DERIVA / HABITAR”

Spanish modern metal outfit BOLU2 DEATH return with “DERIVA / HABITAR,” a new double single that expands the band’s constantly evolving musical world. Released through B2D Records, the two-track release arrives as the latest addition to a discography that has seen the band continually blur the boundaries between metal, alternative rock, grunge, post-hardcore, shoegaze and electronic music. Active since 2011, BOLU2 DEATH have built their identity around this collision of contrasting styles, creating music that can move from crushing heaviness to atmospheric and emotionally charged passages.

“DERIVA” and “HABITAR” function as two connected pieces while retaining their own individual character. Rather than confining themselves to a single musical formula, BOLU2 DEATH use the double single to explore different textures and dynamics, pairing the weight of modern metal with the band's broader alternative influences. The result is a release that reflects the restless nature of a group that has never been afraid to experiment with its sound.

The new material follows QUEBRANTO, the band’s 2024 release, and adds another chapter to a catalogue that includes Mastica Tus Dientes, Dualitas, Spiral, Rigor Samsa and OBRAVIVA, Vol. 1 & 2. With each release, BOLU2 DEATH have continued to develop their distinctive approach, while vocalist Mario Lérida, guitarist Jose Luís Corrales, bassist Fernando Campo and drummer Jesús Alberto Villacañas form the current lineup.
