ALLT Reach For “High Hopes” From Sophomore Album Ataraxia

Swedish progressive metalcore force ALLT return to their sophomore album Ataraxia with “High Hopes,” one of the record’s nine tracks and another example of the band’s evolving approach to heavy music. Released on July 31, 2026 via Century Media Records, Ataraxia marks a significant shift from the post-apocalyptic themes of their 2024 debut From The New World, turning instead toward personal experiences, emotional struggle, vulnerability, and the search for inner peace. “High Hopes” sits within that more intimate chapter, where ALLT allow atmosphere and restraint to stand alongside their trademark heaviness.

Musically, ALLT continue to combine progressive metalcore with downtuned weight, intricate guitar work, and soaring melodic passages. “High Hopes” gives the album another opportunity to showcase that balance, moving beyond straightforward heaviness and allowing the emotional side of the band’s songwriting to become equally important. The track runs for 3:48 and appears as the eighth song on the nine-track Ataraxia, positioned between “Snowblind” and the closing track “Avalon.”

The larger concept behind Ataraxia makes “High Hopes” part of a much more personal journey for the Karlskoga-based band. ALLT have described the album as being rooted in lived experiences including personal tragedies, relationships, exhaustion, longing, relapse, and moments of clarity.
