Mexican outfit LADRONES have released their new album Arriba La L, bringing together an unconventional mix of nu metal, progressive elements, Mexican musical influences and rap. Alongside the album, the band have shared the music video for Pa Mis Carnales, adding another visual and musical entry point into a record that refuses to stay inside a single musical box. The album follows a three-single campaign that introduced its direction piece by piece, beginning with the title track Arriba La L before expanding the picture with Ay Ay Ay and No Que No.
At the heart of LADRONES' sound is the collision between heavy modern instrumentation and distinctly Mexican elements. Nu-metal grooves provide a muscular foundation, while progressive touches allow the arrangements to move beyond predictable structures.
