Finnish deathcore four-piece ENEMIES EVERYWHERE have officially released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album, marking a major milestone for a band that first emerged onto the Finnish metal scene in 2022. Following their Endless Discord EP, released two years ago, the band have spent the time since refining their identity and pushing their sound further. The nine-track Enemies Everywhere now brings that development together in full, accompanied by a music video for the album's title track and opening a new chapter for one of Finland's rising extreme-metal acts.
The album represents a significant evolution from the band's early material. After a lineup change last year saw Sasu Mikkola take over vocal duties, ENEMIES EVERYWHERE focused even more heavily on developing a sound that could be distinctly their own. The result is a record built around the relentless aggression of deathcore while giving the band greater space to establish their individual character. Rather than simply following the path laid out by their earlier Endless Discord EP, the self-titled album reflects a band that has used every stage of its development to sharpen its musical identity.
The title track now receives its own music video alongside the album release, providing another focal point for the nine-track record. More importantly, Enemies Everywhere marks the point where the band's years of development become a complete statement. As the band explain, “The release of the album is an important milestone for us, as we spent a long time refining the songs and developing our own sound for the record.” That hard work is now moving from the studio to the stage, where the new material will receive its first extended live run across Finland.
To celebrate the release, ENEMIES EVERYWHERE will embark on a Finnish club tour beginning September 11 at Tiivistämö in Helsinki, followed by dates in Kouvola, Hyvinkää, Jyväskylä, Pori and Kotka. Several dates will also feature LASTOUT, adding another heavy name to the touring package. For a band formed only in 2022, reaching a self-titled debut album and immediately taking it across their home country is a significant step forward. The record is out, the road awaits, and ENEMIES EVERYWHERE are ready to turn their debut into something even more dangerous live.
