Bristol, UK melodic hardcore outfit DOWNPOUR have unveiled the official music video for “Wounds,” delivering another emotionally charged statement from a band built around raw intensity and hard-earned experience. Formed in 2023, the group features members of former Bristol acts Lock & Key and We Struck Gold.
“Wounds” captures the balance that has become central to DOWNPOUR’s sound, combining forceful hardcore energy with melodic guitar work, impassioned vocals and a strong sense of emotional weight. Rather than sacrificing melody for aggression, the band use both sides of their sound to create something that feels equally cathartic and confrontational.
The track arrives as another chapter in a rapidly developing catalogue that has already seen DOWNPOUR release their Hope EP in 2024 and their 2025 album Where There Is Life, There Is Hope. The band’s lineup features Richard Lardner on vocals, Jesse Brock on guitar and vocals, Mitch Young on bass and Isaac Barton on drums.
With their roots firmly planted in Bristol’s hardcore community and a growing presence beyond the UK, DOWNPOUR continue to turn personal struggle, resilience and defiance into powerful anthems. “Wounds” adds another emotionally bruising entry to that story, bringing the band’s melodic intensity to life through its new official video.
