MOTHER OF MILLIONS about "The Wound": "'I am faithful, I do not give out' - We welcome you to our new era with 'The Wound'. The song explores the physical devastation of war through the eyes of Walt Whitman, while reflecting our ability to endure wounds of both flesh and soul. We chose to adapt this 19th century poem to open the record, because it confronts the human cost of war with heavy imagery and at the same time, carries a message of endurance: that inner strength and faith in collective power can lead us to overcome even the most impossible circumstances."
