GREH Unveil Crushing New Single "Frozen Dystopia" From Upcoming Album "The Tyranny of Expectations"

German blackened death outfit GREH has released "Frozen Dystopia", the second single from their upcoming sophomore album, "The Tyranny of Expectations", due for release in early 2027.

Driven by punishing riffs, uncompromising rhythms and an overwhelming sense of urgency, the track further showcases GREH's distinctive approach to heaviness. Despite relying on a minimalistic lineup built around just one guitar, drums and vocals, the trio creates an immense wall of sound where groove, sludge, dissonance and raw emotion merge into a devastating statement of rage.

Unleashing a bleak and fast-paced fusion of blistering black and death metal, raw crust aggression and freezing atmospheric drones, "Frozen Dystopia" serves as a grim sonic portrait of a modern society collapsing into chaos.

GREH was founded by guitarist Gjero Krsteski (ex-HELLGREASER), who launched the project as a one-man venture in 2022 before evolving it into a full band in 2023 alongside drummer Maurice Müller (HARD STRIKE, MILAN) and vocalist Martin Kocula (GRAU). Their debut EP, "Reversion Of The Repressed", introduced the band's unique blend of black and death metal infused with doom elements, combining crushing heaviness with melancholy, groove and dissonance.

Since then, GREH have shared the stage with acts including Arkona, Firtan, Morast, Fit For An Autopsy, Ophis, Hexis, Bewitcher, Iron Walrus and Glare Of The Sun, while also headlining shows throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Their debut full-length, "Dysphoric Devotion", released in January 2025 through GREH Recordings in collaboration with Fetzner Death Records, further established the band's uncompromising artistic vision and growing reputation within the extreme metal underground.

"Frozen Dystopia" was recorded and produced by GREH Recordings in January 2026 before being mixed and mastered by Hard Drive Sounds in Germany. The artwork was created by Canadian artist Aaron Bonogofsky, with design and editing by Alfi Feijoa (Germany).
