SLOTHRUST Return With Surrealist Disruptor's Anthem, "Burn the Deck"; New Single Streaming Now

Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and Slothrust are excited to present “Burn the Deck,” the first offering of new music from the veteran Los Angeles-based alt-rock band since its 2025 Wildcard EP. “‘Burn the Deck’ is a song encouraging people to dismantle the current systems keeping them in a cage of their own making,” Leah Wellbaum and Will Gorin of Slothrust said of the new single. “It’s a surrealist disruptor's anthem that beckons listeners to carefully consider what they are consuming and challenge their notion of who is really driving." Watch the lyric video for “Burn the Deck” on YouTube below, and stream the track on all platforms HERE.

Additionally, Slothrust has announced a full U.S. tour for the fall. Titled The Dystopian Theatre Tour, the run will kick off on Tuesday, September 15 at Reverb Lounge in Omaha, NE, make a stop at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL on Friday, September 18, and culminate in appearance at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday, November 18. Support on the tour will be provided by The Velveteers and Um, Jennifer? in select markets. More information on tickets and VIP packages can be found via Slothrust’s official site HERE, and a full listing of dates can be found below.

"After being off the road for the past year and a half, we are delighted to announce that we are ready to get back on it,” Wellbaum said. “We hope to offer a night of escape from the stresses of everyday life and invite you into our wacky world for one night. Thank you so much to everyone who has been with us all these years, we are honored that you’re still listening.” Gorin adds, "We are trying something a bit new on this tour so make sure you get your tickets to hear your favorite songs like you’ve never heard them before!"

Slothrust will be making the following appearances this fall on The Dystopian Theatre Tour. Dates below. Stay tuned for more information on the band’s Equal Vision Records debut to be announced in the coming weeks.
