Equal Vision Records, kill iconic records and Resilia are pleased to announce the release of By A Thread, the debut album produced by the Florida-based progressive post-hardcore band and Mike Watts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Glassjaw, Kevin Devine). Fronted by vocalist Daisy Chamberlin, Resilia harnesses the post-hardcore spirit of the modern age through its distinct and intricate guitar riffs, powerful vocals and dynamic drumming. Stream and purchase By A Thread on all platforms HERE, and watch the music video for the album’s new single, “Ruby,” on YouTube BELOW. Chamberlin had the following to share about the track:
“Lyrically, ‘Ruby’ is about yearning for and dreaming of the one that got away. Simultaneously, its lyrics also reflect the inevitable changes that come post-breakup, as we grow older and diverge from who we were while together.” Chamberlin adds, “The album title is pulled directly from Ruby's lyrics: ‘You wanna leave things, wanna leave it by a thread’. The metaphorical thread symbolizes a connection that won't be completely severed, regardless of the physical and emotional distance that now exists. The emotive peak of the song references a quote from the manga Jujutsu Kaisen: ‘If you want to start anew, head north. If you want to return to your old self, head south’”.
Resilia is also currently on the road supporting By A Thread, making appearances with Hail The Sun and Andres across the U.S. through Sunday, June 28. Tickets are on sale now, and a full listing of remaining dates can be found below.
Resilia was founded by guitarist John Benoit in 2018. The post-hardcore band’s lineup now includes vocalist Daisy Chamberlin (previously of I Met a Yeti), Ethan Cate on bass, Grant Dickerson on drums, and guitarists Gray Trainer and Owen Robinson. Initially struggling to find a vocalist, Resilia released instrumental versions of "Royal Flush" (2019) and "Gambit" (2020). With the bones of their sound recorded, the band connected with vocalist Daisy Chamberlin who soon became a full-time member.
The band has performed and toured since 2022, debuting at Chain Reaction (Anaheim, CA) opening for Makari, and has gone on to play cities throughout the country including Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Orlando. Resilia released their debut EP in 2023, revealing their personalized take on the progressive post-hardcore sound. Carving out a distinct space in this scene, word of mouth has led to more than five million streams across digital platforms and a partnership with kill iconic, who just released the band’s debut showcase, By A Thread.
