Italian gothic metal icons Lacuna Coil open the doors to their touring world in Bus Invaders Ep. 2202, giving fans an intimate and entertaining look inside their vehicle during the “Sleepless Empire Tour 2026.” Joined by Escape the Fate, VOWWS, and AXTY, the band are currently on the road supporting their latest album Sleepless Empire, bringing their signature mix of darkness, melody, and theatrical atmosphere across North America.
Vocalist Cristina Scabbia leads the tour through the bus, blending humor and personality as she reveals the little details that keep the band going while traveling city to city. Movie nights are apparently essential to life on tour, with two TVs set up for late-night screenings. Cristina laughs while recalling how the band recently watched Titanic together, joking that “everybody was crying, so that was very metal.”
The episode dives into the everyday comforts and routines that shape touring life—from the rider requests for local beers to the absolute necessity of a coffee machine onboard. Cristina opens drawers dedicated entirely to water storage, while glimpses of drummer Richard Meiz and bassist Marco Coti Zelati add even more personality to the episode. Marco jokingly claims the band spends their days eating donuts and wasting time on their phones, bringing a lighthearted dynamic to the otherwise packed touring schedule.
Fans also get a closer look at the practical side of the bus, including the emergency-use shower, the fridge stocked with Monster, Gatorade, Coca-Cola, milk, and the post-show pizza tradition the band apparently never skips. Cristina reveals her sleeping bunk setup—including her requirement for two pillows—before showing off a Diablo-themed phone holder and guiding viewers to the back lounge, where two more TVs and the band’s legendary crocodile head mascot “Jerry” reside. Gifted to the band years ago in New Orleans, Jerry has traveled with LACUNA COIL ever since. The back lounge doubles as both a hangout area and creative workspace, where Marco often spends time working on music and other projects while life on the road continues around him.
