Austin, Texas quartet Colorblind — vocalist Travis Moseley, drummer Tyler Moseley, bassist Nicholas Asper, and guitarist Justin Page — are thrilled to announce their debut album Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold. It arrives August 28 via Solid State. Pre-order it here.
Colorblind are at the center of dreamcore, a sub-genre that immerses metalcore in a cinematic atmosphere and melody. The band is emerging as a definitive act of this sound and style. Carried throughout the music itself and the visual world they've built across their music videos, Colorblind's dreamcore identity has resonated deeply with their audience. The band has consistently proven that the dreamcore world they're building is one that people want to live in.
Today, the band has shared the video for album opener "Pressure." Watch it BELOW.
"Pressure" bounces and oozes hyperkinetic energy from every note. It will undoubtedly have the kids at the Colorblind shows pogoing back and forth in the pit, all the while relating to the lyrical theme.
"'Pressure' is about the weight of your own mind crushing you from the inside out," states Moseley. "This was one of the first songs made for the record. I was really feeling the pressure of signing my first record deal, making my first album, and it was all coming to a head. I'm so grateful to have all of this pressure in my life."
Indeed, pressure can be a positive thing and this track is proof positive!
Ultimately, Colorblind stand apart because they've never tried to fit in. Since forming in 2017, the Austin, TX quartet has forged its own lane in modern heavy music, one captivating song, one sold-out show, and one explosive festival set at a time. They've grown into one of the scene's most compelling new voices, powered by breakout singles like "Motionless," "Needle Eye," and "Letdown" (as featured on SiriusXM Octane), racking up more than 30M streams in the process.
Their "dreamcore" sound thrives on contrast, blending thundering, detuned riffs with ambient textures and pop-forward melody – pairing weight and atmosphere in a way that feels both immediate and immersive. Beneath that dynamic lies an emotional honesty that has shaped their music from the very beginning: Early independent releases, including their self-titled EP, introduced that core, with songs like "Ghosts" revealing a deeply personal perspective that quickly resonated with listeners. The connection carried into their label debut, WHO SOLD YOU THIS TRUTH, expanding their sound and reach onto tours with blessthefall, Miss May I and Dayseeker, along with major festival stages. Now, with a debut full-length on the horizon and their first headlining tour ahead, Colorblind's future remains wide open, with many more career-defining highs on the horizon with each and every step forward.
