UK metalcore powerhouse Polar return with their powerful new single “Johatsu,” released on March 6, 2026, marking the beginning of a bold new chapter for the band. Entering this phase with a revitalised line-up and a renewed sense of purpose, POLAR continue to build momentum following a string of high-profile festival appearances and international touring.
In recent months, the band have stormed stages across major events including Resurrection Fest, Jera On Air, Full Rewind Festival and Mighty Sounds Festival, while also completing Japanese, European and UK tours alongside heavy-hitting acts such as The Browning. Their relentless touring schedule and explosive live performances have helped solidify the band’s reputation as one of the most energetic forces within the modern metalcore landscape.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Adam Woodford explains: “Johatsu’ plays like a quiet disappearance, a song for the moments when life feels too heavy and you dream of slipping away long enough to breathe again.” The track reflects that emotional weight through a blend of crushing riffs, atmospheric tension and powerful melodic moments, capturing the band’s evolving sound while maintaining the intensity that has defined their career.
The release of “Johatsu” arrives just ahead of POLAR’s upcoming European headline tour, as the band continue their global ascent with support from major outlets and platforms including BBC Radio 1, Metal Hammer and Kerrang! among many others. With a refreshed lineup, a growing international audience and a powerful new single leading the charge, POLAR are stepping confidently into a new era.
