BLUE MEDUSA ex-ARCH ENEMY Frontwoman ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ Launches New All-Female Metal Project

A new chapter begins for Alissa White-Gluz as the Arch Enemy frontwoman unveils Blue Medusa, a brand-new all-female trio formed alongside guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia. The project marks a fresh creative outlet for White-Gluz, bringing together three musicians determined to channel their shared energy into a powerful new force within heavy music.

Describing the project as a deeply personal artistic step forward, White-Gluz explains that Blue Medusa represents the culmination of everything she has been building toward throughout her career. “Blue Medusa is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward for years. It’s my creative melting pot,” she says. “Everything fans enjoy about the energy, intensity, and performance they’ve always experienced on stage with me over the past two decades is still here, even stronger.”

Musically, the band promises a fierce blend of technical skill and uncompromising heaviness. According to White-Gluz, the sound will feature blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, aggressive drumming, brutal vocals, and melodic depth, all tied together by thoughtful and reflective lyricism. The chemistry within the trio has already proven to be a major creative spark, something the vocalist describes as a revitalizing experience. “The musical chemistry I feel with these women is really bringing me back to life. It is so refreshing and exciting,” she adds.

White-Gluz chose to announce the band on International Women’s Day, highlighting the importance of supporting and amplifying women in heavy music. “I’ve been carving my own path in this genre for a long time, and I want to help pave the way for the next generation of women who love metal as much as I do,” she explains. With ideas already flowing and creativity in full motion, BLUE MEDUSA stands poised to become a powerful new voice in modern metal.
