French rap metal fusion spearheads FACE 2 FAKE return in force with “Somewhere Else,” the band’s third single of the year and a powerful statement of intent. Blending rap, metal, and electronic elements, the track delivers a bold, uncompromising sound that nods to the raw spirit of the late ’90s and early 2000s while standing firmly in the present.
“Somewhere Else” weaves together influences reminiscent of Korn, System Of A Down, Limp Bizkit, and Alice In Chains, distilled into a modern, cohesive identity. Heavy grooves collide with sharp vocal flows and atmospheric textures, creating a track that feels both aggressive and deeply reflective.
Lyrically, the song plays out as a contemporary mantra — a search for meaning, life, and love amid noise, gossip, and hollow ambitions. It speaks to the desire to escape superficial paths, fully aware that not everyone gets to be the hero, yet still choosing authenticity over illusion.
Recorded at Inglorious Records Studio by Enrick Chevalier, and produced and mixed by Hervé Guillemard of Stelladrive Production, “Somewhere Else” arrives with a striking music video directed by Arthur Gauthier. With this release, FACE 2 FAKE reaffirm their place at the forefront of the French rap metal fusion scene — confident, modern, and unapologetically real.
