STAIN THE CANVAS Shares New Album Honey Rot

Stain The Canvas closes out the year with the release of their album Honey Rot, today, Friday, December 12th through InVogue Records. The project arrives with the focus track "Leeches" and sets the tone for a chapter the band has been building toward all year. Honey Rot comes forward with a clear sense of direction and invites listeners into the world the band has been shaping through every release this year.

Guitarist Lorenzo Accàttoli shares that the last three years were some of the hardest they have ever faced as a group. "While nothing was said publicly, we were struggling with internal conflict that made it increasingly difficult to move forward as a band. We took our time to heal, to face what was broken, and poured everything into this record. Honey Rot is the proof that even when everything seems lost, you can still rise and turn the pain into something that deserves to exist."

Honey Rot marks a major turning point for the band and reflects a period that pushed them closer to breaking than ever before. The record carries the pressure and honesty that came with that journey and follows the band as they work their way back to solid ground. Every song feels connected to what they were living through which gives the album a raw and personal weight.

"Leeches" digs into the feeling of being drained by people who only show up to take. It calls out manipulation, false loyalty, and the exhaustion of dealing with someone who clings for the wrong reasons. Setting a tone for the album as a whole, the focus track highlights the band's struggles, internal conflicts, and ultimate resilience into one visceral and unfiltered statement.

As the album came together, the band realized these songs carried a level of honesty they had never reached before. The tension, the confusion, and the breaking points all found their way into the writing with no filter. Lorenzo describes that weight, saying, "It's a record that captures how close Stain The Canvas came to falling apart; from the very first song (what are we now ‽) to the last one (No Heart To Blame), most of the songs draw directly from those internal rifts. What you hear on this album is the raw and unfiltered truth of what happened behind the scenes, even as we kept posting, performing, and maintaining the appearance that everything was fine."
