AMORPHIS Unveil “Crowned In Crimson” Official Music Video From Movie Son of Revenge – The Story of Kalevala

Finnish metal titans AMORPHIS have revealed the official music video for “Crowned In Crimson”, a powerful new song written as the theme for the upcoming film Son of Revenge – The Story of Kalevala, set for release on January 16th, 2026. Deeply rooted in myth, atmosphere, and emotional weight, the track finds the band channeling the epic spirit of the Kalevala into a cinematic and commanding composition.

Songwriter and guitarist Esa Holopainen explains how the collaboration came to life: “Director Antti Jokinen got in touch with us and briefly told us about his ambitious film project. We arranged a meeting with him during which we were able to see visual material from the film and go through the script. Antti hoped that AMORPHIS would create the film’s theme song – a project we agreed to immediately.” The result is a piece that feels inseparable from the film’s narrative and mythological foundation.

Musically, “Crowned In Crimson” balances crushing heaviness with sweeping melody, echoing the band’s long-standing ability to merge power and poetry.
