The Chilean Deathcore/Metal titans Against the Tyrants continue to shake the national scene
with the release of their new single “Bloodline”, a brutal and dark work that confronts the
listener with human decadence, the collapse of reason, and the extinction of false hope. The
song presents itself as an act of sonic violence, loaded with dark atmospheres, extreme
brutality, and a narrative that reflects the end of the corrupt cycles that rule the modern world,
solidifying the band as an unavoidable force within the current Chilean metal scene.
Inspired by an apocalyptic vision, “Bloodline” unfolds raw and hopeless lyrics that portray
humanity as an inevitable part of a game doomed to self-destruction. The song addresses the
loss of sanity, the abandonment of faith, and the fall of false prophets, presenting a world
where no heroes or gods remain to offer salvation.
Against the Tyrants continues to deepen its sonic identity by fusing the brutality of modern
deathcore with symphonic/electronic arrangements and orchestral atmospheres, achieving a
dense, epic, and devastating sound. With “Bloodline”, the band not only reaffirms its musical
evolution, but also clearly states its artistic ambition.
Following their latest releases, Against the Tyrants is already well established within the
scene, and with this new work they seek to definitively position themselves as the symphonic
deathcore band of choice in the Chilean scene, setting a standard in weight, concept, and
execution.
“Bloodline” marks a period of internal changes within the band. The original lineup
undergoes further modifications since the incorporation of Erick Miranda on rhythm guitars,
following the departure of original guitarist and composer David Hermosilla. This time,
bassist Nicolás Rojas also leaves the band to pursue new personal and musical endeavors.
The band has decided to continue as a four-piece formation, remaining firm in the legacy of
Against the Tyrants while moving forward with a clearer and more ambitious vision than
previously presented.
Finally, the band is currently preparing their upcoming EP “Of the Abyss”, from which three
promotional singles have already been released. The EP features a collaboration with CJ
McCreery (Immortal Disfigurement / ex-Lorna Shore) and is expected to be released in 2026.
