WOMB OF ERROR Deliver Harrowing New EP We Will Never Be Okay Again

International post-black metal collective WOMB OF ERROR return with their most emotionally devastating work to date: the four-track EP We Will Never Be Okay Again. Sculpted from despair, memory, and the weight of unspoken wounds, the record pushes the band’s atmospheric intensity into darker and more vulnerable territory. It is a release that refuses comfort, instead confronting the listener with a stark portrait of internal collapse.

The EP opens with “No Refuge,” a spiraling ascent of tremolo lines, suffocating percussion, and anguished vocal textures. The band leans heavily into the genre’s cavernous bleakness, yet every layered melody feels intentional, restrained, and painfully human. The atmosphere only deepens with “Years Spent In Regret,” a track built on swelling crescendos and mournful melodic passages that echo long-buried memories resurfacing without mercy.

“Perpetually Exhausted” surges with restless energy, driven by dynamic rhythms and constantly shifting momentum. The track captures the frantic edge of emotional burnout, pushing forward with urgency before gradually dissolving into a slower, drained ending that mirrors the feeling of finally collapsing under the weight of it all.

With We Will Never Be Okay Again, WOMB OF ERROR refine their identity into something colder, more immersive, and uncompromisingly honest. The EP stands as a bleak yet beautifully crafted testament to emotional ruin — a reminder that some wounds remain open, and in acknowledging them, the band has created their most arresting work yet.
