OCEANDVST Release Darkly Cinematic New EP ‘death is an open door’

Thessaloniki, Greece–based hard rock outfit OCEANDVST unveil their new EP ‘death is an open door’, a five-track journey into grief, memory, and emotional reconstruction. Known for blending brooding alternative rock with atmospheric heaviness and striking melodic hooks, the band now deliver their most thematically unified and emotionally gripping release to date — a project carved from vulnerability and elevated by cinematic intensity.

Across its runtime, the EP explores the tension between despair and awakening. OCEANDVST weave towering vocals, shadowy riffs, and pulse-driven rhythms into a narrative that moves through loss, detachment, confrontation, and eventual clarity. Their sound feels bigger and sharper than ever, balancing dramatic hard-rock punch with introspective depth and meticulous production.

Each track plays a distinct role in the EP’s emotional arc. From the apocalyptic reflection of “My Last Day On Earth” to the explosive collaboration “No Way Out (ft. Kin Beneath Chaos)”, the haunting introspection of “Ghost”, the searching resilience of “Remedy”, and the fragile yet hopeful atmosphere of “Beyond The Shattered Glass”, the EP unfolds like chapters in a personal reckoning. Together, these songs create a cohesive experience that lingers long after the final note.

With ‘death is an open door’, OCEANDVST step confidently into a new era — darker, more mature, and fully embracing the emotional weight behind their sound. It’s a release built on honesty, crafted with cinematic ambition, and delivered with the force of a band unwilling to shy away from the hardest truths.
