LIVE REVIEW + AFTERMOVIE - AD INFINITUM, SEVEN SPIRES, TULIP @ (szene), Vienna, Austria – October 30, 2025

Vienna’s (szene) was brimming with symphonic power and elegance on October 30 as AD INFINITUM, SEVEN SPIRES, and TULIP took the stage for a night celebrating the beauty and strength of female-fronted metal. While the show wasn’t completely sold out, it came close — and the energy inside was undeniable. Before the bands took the stage, the venue pulsed with anticipation, filled with fans of all ages ready for an evening of melody, darkness, and grandeur.

TULIP opened the night at 19:25, delivering a tight 35-minute set that left a strong impression. The symphonic metal outfit from Texas, led by the radiant Ashleigh Semkiw, captivated the audience with her commanding presence and soaring vocals that perfectly matched her elegance. Tracks like Arabella Devourer, Ghost of Kyiv, Near Death, Assassins, Gemini, and Ophelia showcased the band’s refined balance between beauty and power. The crowd responded warmly, clearly enjoying every moment of TULIP’s return to the European stage.

Next came SEVEN SPIRES, the symphonic metal force from the US, who took the energy to another level. Frontwoman Adrienne Cowan delivered a breathtaking performance, blending ethereal cleans, haunting operatic passages, and guttural growls with flawless control. Supported by the band’s tight musicianship — including backup growls from their bassist — SEVEN SPIRES proved to be the heaviest act of the night. Their 45-minute set was nothing short of epic, featuring A Fortress Called Home, Ghost of Yesterday, Love’s Souvenir, Wanderer’s Prayer, and Gods of Debauchery, leaving the crowd stunned by their intensity and precision.

Finally, AD INFINITUM took the stage at 21:20, marking their first-ever headline tour with a performance that embodied pure theatrical mastery. Melissa Bonny commanded the room from the very first note of Upside Down, leading into Aftermath and a flawless mix of drama and emotion. Special moments included collaborations with Adrienne Cowan on Dead End and Ashleigh Semkiw on The One You’ll Hold On To, both met with roaring applause. After a brief encore break, Melissa reappeared among the fans to perform My Halo, followed by Anthem for the Broken, Follow Me Down, Seven Nation Army, Regicide, Unstoppable, and a stunning finale with Into the Night. The set ended in a playful crowd split led by the band members — but ultimately, the true winners were everyone in attendance. A night of powerful voices, symphonic might, and pure connection that reaffirmed the magic of live music.
