Born from the raw concrete of Sacramento, California, DONT YOU DARE (styled without the apostrophe) are a modern rock duo fusing the intensity of nu-metal and metalcore with raw, unfiltered emotion.
Vocalist Noah Duarte, a poet-turned-frontman, joined forces with guitarist Matt English to create a sound that's both therapeutic and confrontational and the foundation of what would become DONT YOU DARE.
Today, DYD share their debut single "S.O.S" via The Artery Foundation.
The song is an unfiltered outcry against disconnection — a lifeline for anyone who[s ever felt unheard, ignored, or invisible. It's a heavy, unrelenting statement about reaching your breaking point, reclaiming your voice, and refusing to stay silent.

"'S.O.S' is us expelling the pressure and pain and putting that release on full unapologetic display," offers English. "We ran with the adrenaline of fear, doubt, and honesty, even when it scared us. It's not about fixing each other; it's about giving us a place to exist."
Indeed, the song is a reminder that broken is just as beautiful.
