Michigan’s Heartsick have debuted their new track Stuck in The Ground. The track will be one of 11 on their newly announced record “Break the Curse” which will see an October 1st release on all digital platforms and on vinyl.
Those interested can head over to heartsick,us and purchase one of a hundred available pre order bundles. The pre-order bundle includes a limited-edition T-shirt as well as your name as part of the in-sleeve artwork for the new vinyl record and of course a copy of the vinyl itself.
This new track centers around the bands’ love for horror movies, specifically zombie movies. Vocalist Alfonso Civile states “when we were writing the song in the studio with Josh Schroeder, I could not be there for this session. So, the guys sent me the finished music, and it was just so dark and broody. It just puts this image in my mind of movies like Dawn of the Dead where Zombies just pop out of the ground in hordes. It just felt like the right thing to write about.”
The band will be direct support for Josey Scott August 16th and then will head out with Nonpoint and Upon A Burning Body for the second leg of The Painful Statements tour.
Filmed by Wombatfire (Billy Strings, Post Malone, Bad Wolves, Asking Alexandria etc.) Recorded, Mixed, Engineered, and produced by Josh Schroeder (Loran Shore, Varials, Attila, etc.) This track really showcases the bands dynamic song textures between melody and crushing riffs mixed in with 90s and 80s delay and chorus obsessed rock songs by bands like Failure and The Cure.
