Built on Joey Sturgis' crushing production, "Fractures" weaponizes Face Yourself's signature deathcore assault to dissect the violence of beauty standards and self-hatred. The track represents their most emotionally raw work to date, following the success of their Martyr EP, which has garnered over 1.5 million streams since its April release.
Speaking on the new single and upcoming EP, vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux shares:
"We are excited to release our new single "Fractures" produced by Joey Sturgis. The lyrics explore a darker theme, as it speaks a lot about self hatred, exploring the pressure of beauty standards and the "mutilations" those pressures can lead someone to. It's like changing your appearance so much to fit a mold to the point that you don't even recognize yourself which can be very violent.
"Alongside this new single, we're happy to announce the future release of our new record "Fury". After 2 years of being a band, we have reached a sound that we think looks like us, this is our best work yet and we are happy to be working once again with Joey Sturgis.
