Chicago, IL-- Today, the alt-rock artist dying in designer returns with the release of "LimeWire," a dark and emotionally charged new single. This track expands on the heavy, nu-metal-infused sound fans heard earlier this summer with “Evil Eyes.” With the release, he put out a gritty music video and launched an animated series exploring the themes behind the music.

From the mind of Rob O’Brien, dying in designer has always been a project from his deepest pain and personal truth. While “Evil Eyes” cracked open a heavier, more visceral era, “LimeWire” pushes even further capturing what it means to survive, to connect, and to be rewired by the ones who brokeyou.The track pairscrushingguitars with a melodic core that feels both nostalgic and hollowlike searching through corrupted files of someone you used to be.

“’‘LimeWire’ is about what people leave behind. The kind of damage that doesn’t just hurt in the moment, but rewires the way you trust, feel, and connect going forward. It’s about how connection today feels disposable, like downloading something just to delete it later. It’s not about healing. It’s about what you carry into everything after,” shares Rob O’Brien.

Previously signed to Hopeless Records, dying in designer broke into the scene with Nobody’s Happy.in 2019 receiving widespread accolades from the likes of Rock Sound, NME, Alternative Press, and more. Since 2020 he has been operating entirely independently, most recently releasing his follow up record Nobody’s Happy. 2this past fall resonating with a generation lost in heartbreak and self-doubt.
