SUICIDE SILENCE Address Slaughter To Prevail Tour Backlash on Podcast (VIDEO)

Deathcore veterans Suicide Silence have finally responded to heated criticism regarding their decision to join Slaughter To Prevail and Dying Fetus on tour. In their latest podcast episode, the band directly confronted fan backlash over the lineup and defended their artistic choices.

Suicide Silence emphasized they “never imagined” opening for Slaughter To Prevail, adding the collaboration came through their team and was a strategic move that fills a clear fan demand.
Eddie Hermida noted many fans were “mad,” reflecting anger over touring with a contentious headliner, and stressed they’re not taking it personally.
The band argued that fans had previously clamored for more exciting support during headliner tours; now that they’re delivering, pushback is inevitable.

Alex Terrible from Slaughter To Prevail addressed the backlash first, calling out criticism on social media and stating they brought “sick bands” onboard due to fan demand, despite preferring a solo headliner setup. Many fans responded with name-calling and accusations, including linking Terrible to past extremist imagery and behaviors.
