SLIPKNOT Explosive Return at Rock am Ring 2025

At the Nürburgring on June 7, 2025, Slipknot headlined the 40th-anniversary edition of Rock am Ring, delivering a raw, high-energy performance that erupted the crowd into a frenzy.  Kicking off with their signature intro tape and diving into staples like “(sic)”, “People = Shit” and “Gematria (The Killing Name)”, the band masterfully blended nostalgia with new intensity.

Newer tracks like “Yen” and “Nero Forte” featured alongside classics such as “Psychosocial”, “Duality” and “The Devil in I”, showing their tour setlist continues to impress. The encore included crowd favorites “Spit It Out”, “Surfacing” and “Scissors”, triggering massive sing-alongs that reverberated across the festival.

Notably, percussionist Clown was absent due to a family emergency — a bittersweet moment even as the rest of the band powered through. Slipknot’s performance was praised for being both “intense” and “inventive,” reinforcing their reputation as one of the most electrifying live acts in heavy music.

In short, Slipknot's set at Rock am Ring 2025 was a spectacular showdown: a perfect storm of nostalgia, ferocity, and theatrical prowess that left fans exhilarated—and reminded the world why they remain metal’s most theatrical juggernaut.
