Los Angeles, CA — What is being called arguably the most controversial rock documentary of all time has officially hit #1 on Thunderflix for a second time , while also landing a worldwide release on Amazon Prime Video . Everyone Dies (Rock Stars Don’t Count) , the raw and uncensored story of Society 1 frontman Matt Zane , is now available to stream on two major platforms—cementing its place as a true underground cult hit.
"I can't believe such a major platform licensed it," said Zane. "I was walking around in shock the first day I learned it was going up there. I didn't really believe it until I saw it."
Despite being rejected by 13 different PR companies , Everyone Dies is now thriving—proof that raw, dangerous storytelling still has a place in the modern media landscape.
“Almost no one would touch this or be involved,” Zane adds. “That makes it even more satisfying that Prime picked it up. It goes to show you that the content is entertaining and has value—even if the music industry thinks Society 1 and I are radioactive garbage.”
Everyone Dies has reclaimed the #1 spot on Thunderflix , beating out Metal Massacre , the new film featuring James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich reflecting on Metallica’s first-ever recorded appearance.
“We have no business even being in the top 5 with those guys,” Zane said. “So for our movie to take the number one spot is kind of mind-blowing.”
This is the second time the documentary has reached the top of Thunderflix, proving its staying power and loyal underground following.
