MAKE THEM SUFFER, RESOLVE, CONJURER, IF NOT FOR ME@FLEX, VIENNA, AUSTRIA; April 30, 2025 (VIDEO)

We paid a visit to our almost second hometown for the shows, the capital of Austria, Vienna, and the well-known club Flex beside the Danube River.

For this night, the bands to offer their best show were Make Them Suffer as a headline, Resolve as direct support with Conjurer, and If Not For Me.

Because of the traffic, we sadly miss the opener, If Not For Me, and we hate that, because we haven't seen that band live so far.

So the first band for us was the sludge/post-metal UK act Conjurer. A band that stood out from the lineup of this tour. If we see that this was a more metalcore tour, the band still won fans over. They are definitely not a cup of tea for everyone in this kind of genre, especially, but certainly a must-see band for the live show they present. The combination of two guitarists/vocalists also worked very well. We could hear Choke, Scorn, Rot, Warmth, and Retch.

The next one was a French Metalcore act, Resolve. They combine melodic parts with breakdowns to almost perfection.  Vocalist Anthony Diliberto is a great frontman, and working with the crowd throughout the whole set. The band opened with Human, the title track of their last album, as the other songs from that album, such as Bloodlust, Death Awaits, and Molotov. The other songs were Of Silk and Straw, Emerald Skies, Sandman, Smile, and Older Days.  The band put on a great performance! We could see for the first time that night some crowd surfing. They won the crowd for sure! Enjoyed it big time for sure!

After a half-hour pause, we welcomed to the stage Autsrlain Make The Suffer. The band released their new self-titled album in November 2024. They opened the show from that album, Epitaph, followed by Bones, then Uncharted. Vocalist Sean Harmanis is in his prime! He screamed between every song when interacting with the crowd, which I don't remember seeing for a long time. It was the first time we saw new member Alex Reade for us. Also a great vocalist and performer, headbanging as every opportunity she had while singing and playing keys. A very good induction to the very well-oiled machine as the band already is. Nick McLernon on guitar is a beast, also. The energy he puts into playing is an inspiration for younger, aspiring guitarists. They "close" the show with one of the most anticipated songs from the new album, Doomswitch. The synth and guitars are the perfection in this song and make MTS unique in this genre. Of course was an encore, so the band came back to the stage to perform that last song of the night,  Widower. At the end, one more night to add to the very enjoyable show at Flex. Till next time!
