Las Vegas-based alternative metal band Deathtape has unleashed their latest single, “Cadaver,” a brooding and visceral track that delves into themes of emotional decay and personal reckoning. Released on May 5, 2025, “Cadaver” is featured on their new EP Adolescence, which dropped on May 16 via Santa Anna.
“Cadaver” showcases Deathtape’s signature fusion of nu-metal, hardcore, and alternative metal, delivering crushing riffs, haunting atmospheres, and raw, confrontational vocals. The track’s intensity is further amplified by its official visualizer, now available on YouTube, which complements the song's dark and immersive aesthetic.
Formed in late 2023, Deathtape comprises vocalist Abenamar Honrubia, drummer Ryan Joyce, bassist Jacob Rubino, and guitarist Jimmie Aghas. The band quickly gained attention for their emotionally charged sound and DIY ethos. “Cadaver” stands out as a centerpiece of Adolescence, reflecting the band’s evolution and commitment to pushing genre boundaries.
Fans can stream “Cadaver” on music platforms and catch a glimpse of the band’s energy through their social media channels, where they share behind-the-scenes content and performance clips.
With “Cadaver,” Deathtape solidifies their place in the alternative metal scene, offering a track that is both sonically intense and emotionally resonant.
