Progressive metalcore band Born of Osiris has announced the departure of longtime guitarist Lee McKinney, who had been with the band since 2007. The band shared the news via social media, stating:
"Lee McKinney and Born of Osiris are parting ways. We wish him the best with his future endeavors."
Despite this change, the band emphasized that their upcoming plans remain unaffected. Their new album, Through Shadows, is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, and they will continue their European headline tour without cancellations. For their Canadian tour in June and July, Scott Carstairs of Entheos and Fallujah will be filling in on guitar.
McKinney expressed gratitude to fans for their support over the years and announced his focus on personal projects, including his new band Dead Air Divine, formed with Tilian Pearson. Their debut album is nearing completion, and McKinney has released a solo single titled “Good Ground.”
Born of Osiris is expected to announce more details regarding their future guitarist in the coming months.
