The annual four-day metal adventure Basinfirefest has revealed the full program for the new Šapitó Stage and added the final bands to the main stage line-up, completing this year’s edition. In addition to the already announced bands, festival-goers can look forward to 2 new international acts and 11 bands from the Czech and Slovak scenes!
The main stage line-up has been enriched by five more Czech and Slovak bands - Prague’s symphonic black metal icons Ador Dorath, crossover-metal storm by Cocotte Minute and Snail, a powerful fusion of hardcore and thrash metal from Crippled Fingers, and modern Slovak deathcore delivered by Stercore!
A major new feature this year is the Šapitó Stage – a separate music stage hosted in a circus-style tent, offering an alternative to the main stage program. Its headliner will be none other than E-Force, the Canada/France-based project fronted by Eric Forrest, former bassist and vocalist of Voivod. E-Force will perform a special set titled “Voivod Revisited”, featuring tracks solely from Voivod’s Negatron and Phobos albums. Also joining the Šapitó Stage is German trio Nitrogods, made up of former members of Primal Fear, Sinner, and Freedom Call, delivering a powerful blend of rock’n’roll, hard rock, blues roots, and Motörhead-style heaviness. For fans of the avant-garde, Master Boot Record, a synthetic metal act, will also appear. They were the first to be announced for this stage.
The Šapitó Stage will also host a strong Czech line-up. Expect classic heavy metal from legends Vitacit, celebrating an incredible 50 years on the scene, and politically charged hardcore/punk from Mad Rabbits and P.U.M. Metal/hardcore crossover will be represented by Prague’s own Status Praesents, while old-school thrash will be brought by the promising newcomers Battlecruiser. Rounding off the stage are technical deathcore outfit Elysium.
Tickets for Basinfirefest are available at www.basin.cz, including single-day passes for each day of the festival (including Wednesday). Discounted tickets are available for students with a valid ISIC card, juniors aged 13–17.99, and holders of ZTP disability cards.
