NOVA RIOT Shares Merciless Video For Brand New Track "Breaking Free"

Grunge-rock project, Nova Riot, are sharing their brutal single, "Breaking Free" on February 14. The track is accompanied by a new music video.

Nova Riot serves a theatrical energy paired with ruthless melodies with "Breaking Free." Vocals are fierce while the visualizer tells a horror-driven story creating an attention getting atmosphere.

"I can't pinpoint exactly when the concept for the "Breaking Free" music video came to me, but I'm sure it was during one of those intense deep thought sessions while in Smokelahoma. The vision of Nova breaking free from a traumatic event, set against a cinematic backdrop, just clicked. We decided on a horror theme, with Nova in a straight jacket and the band dressed as possessed male nurses along with a couple of models dressed as nurses. Shooting in a run-down nursing home with a few well-placed props gave the video that perfect campy B-flick feel. In the end, we created a really cool horror-themed music video that perfectly captures the raw emotion of the song." - Nova Riot

"When I wrote the lyrics to "breaking free" I was leaving a very toxic relationship that had a push and pull dynamic. This song is about breaking free from the cycle. It also captures the anger you feel when forced to leave someone you love but isn't good for you. I hope anyone who is going through this feels more powerful when listening to this song." - Nova Riot.
