WHO I AM Release New Single Video "Imminent Devastation"

"Imminent Devastation" is the main single of Who I Am upcoming album. It crystallizes all the influences of the band, from the NYHC scene of the 90s to the current now. Inspired by bands like Biohazard, Madball, Merauder or more recently Incendiary, the music video is a direct homage to the NYC metal/hardcore scene.

Imminent Devastation is the title track and last track of Who I Am's first album, to be released early 2025. This single is a heavy metallic hardcore anthem, with Slayer's inspired riffing and catchy lyrics and chorus. As the main topic of the album is how humanity is destroying it's surrounding, Imminent Devastation depict the natural catastrophies caused by human activities, such as tsunamis, earthquake and forest fires. Every year, the world gets hotter and harder to live for every species. Mass production is a threat to our planet and all living things. We already faced some natural and human disasters, but nothing seems to stop the production. Maybe that one day the outcome will be irremediable and we won't have the choice to rethink our way to produce and consume.

From Angouleme (France), Who I Am is a five piece metallic hardcore band taking influences into hardcore bands with a strong metallic sound. Bands like Kickback and Terror are a stronf inspiration just as more "actual" bands like Incendiary and Suburban Scum.

The band's first album is set to be released in september 2024. It's their first release since their 3 titles EP "Ignorance", released early 2020.

Recorded and mixed by Stu Mckay at Studio 6 (Malevolence, Guilt Trip, Desolated...) Mastered by Brad Boatright (Audiosiege).
