VANITAS Release New Single "E.G.D." From Their Upcoming Sophomore EP "Chaos Theory"

Vanitas are rising fast in the UK heavy scene, bringing their unique blend of progressive metal and djent with orchestral elements that wouldn’t sound out of place in a Final Fantasy soundtrack; creating what they’ve coined ‘cinematic djent’. The Birmingham 5-piece have wasted no time establishing themselves in the UK music scene with dynamic live performances supporting acts such as: Monuments, Voyager, Galactic Empire & Destrage in their short time as a band so far.

In 2024, Vanitas return matured and dangerous, with a promise to deliver their heaviest release yet. Their sophomore EP ‘Chaos Theory’ represents a savage expression of rage and desperation; born from a time of turmoil and wearing its scars proudly. Setting the scene; single releases ‘Grey Morality’ & ‘Lies’ quickly gained an exciting reaction reaching a combined 37K views on their respective music videos with over 9K streams and over 1K monthly listeners on spotify. Vanitas continue to build their momentum with Chaos Theory’s third track ‘E.D.G.’ out now, with the upcoming 6-track EP out August 2nd 2024.

‘E.D.G.’ explodes with aggression expressing anger at ‘grind’ culture and being overworked in a broken capitalist system. The chorus offers an uplifting twist to hold on, and focus on the smaller joys to find peace.

Vanitas continue their 2024 live shows on Saturday 22nd June, continuing their battle in this year’s M2TM competition for a chance to play Bloodstock 2024 at the grand final. Later in the year, Vanitas will celebrate the release of Chaos Theory with their EP Launch show at The Flapper, Birmingham on the 3rd August and a festival appearance at the UK’s best micro festival Burn it Down Festival on the 30th August.

The official music video for ‘E.D.G.’ will premiere on the Vanitas Youtube channel at 6pm UK time on Friday 21st June.
