From frosty Finland, heavy power symphonic metallers BATTLE BEAST come to Basin. From
the south, Greece's ROTTING CHRIST will bring their unique blend of black and melodic
death metal, and Italian musical geniuses and pioneers of orchestral death metal,
FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, will join them.
Known for their energetic shows, incredibly catchy choruses, and odd sense of humor,
Finland's BATTLE BEAST are renowned for their signature blend of crushing guitars,
symphonic keys, and the commanding vocals of singer Noora Louhimo. Influenced by
traditional heavy, power, and symphonic metal, their music strikes a balance between
aggression and melody, anthemic choruses, and intricate musical arrangements. The band
has received critical acclaim and awards for their albums "Bringer of Pain" (2017) and "No
More Hollywood Endings" (2019), including Metal Album of the Year at the Emma Gaala
Festival. And with their latest album, they're bringing their "Circus of Doom" to Spálené
Poříčí!
ROTTING CHRIST's long career spans over 35 years. The Greeks, with a permanent core
lineup (guitarist/vocalist Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis on drums), have stood the test of
time and become one of the leading (melodic) dark/black metal bands. They've managed to
strike the perfect balance, combining their classic and unique riffing and rhythmic style with
new elements that they sprinkle in to keep their material interesting and fresh. On their last
four albums, they have still managed to evolve. Now they've announced a new album called
"PRO XRISTOY" (which translates as "Before Christ") and they're teasing a new single called
"Like Father, Like Son."
You don't often see symphonic music on our stages. So when FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE,
Italian musical geniuses and pioneers of orchestral death metal, who combine death metal
with Paganini, Bach, and Mozart, come to Basin, it will be all the more worthwhile.
