ATTENDANT - Explores Toxic Nostalgia With New Single "Chimera"

London-based alt rockers Attendant have today shared new single ‘Chimera’. Exploring toxic nostalgia, ‘Chimera’ is a track that’s centered around Attendant's signature character-based storytelling, combining melancholic harmonised vocals, spiky guitars, and relentless drums.

Attendant vocalist Andy Walker mentions, “Chimera is a portrait of an embittered old misanthropist, lashing out at a world he no longer understands. In a moment of self-reflection, he concludes that his cynicism is the product of self-hatred. The world is not the problem. He is.”

Recorded with producer Alex Loring (Big Spring, Palm Reader, Trophic Gold) ‘Chimera’ sees Attendant as the ever infectious genre-bending purveyors. No musical influence is too obscure for the trio, who's sound is rooted in alternative rock, but draws inspiration from commercial pop, film scores, video game soundtracks, TV adverts. The formula combines energy and melody with incisive lyrical wit, weaving satirical tales around society's ills.
