PEAKS! - Unveil Final Single "DESENSITIZE" From Their 'Modern World Survivors' EP

PEAKS! are an Alt Rock duo hailing from Turin, Italy. They dropped their jaw dropping debut song ’Blackout‘ at the end of 2020. Fast forward to today – and the track has notched up over 2 million streams on Spotify alone.

The new single ‘DESENSITIZE’, is a slice of pumping rave rock, ready to ignite any room. Written, recorded and produced by the band once again in Turin, ‘Desensitize’ is the final track taken from the ‘Modern World Survivors’ EP, also featuring ‘When The Lights Fade Out’, ‘Heatwaves’ and ‘Lack of Attention’.

"Desensitize" is a reflection on the challenges of navigating the complexities of the modern world, maintaining a facade of well-being while dealing with inner turmoil, and the distortion of reality that can result from desensitization.

"Desensitize" is an auditory cyclone, an adrenaline surge that mirrors the rapid pace of existence. The relentless tempo, the breakneck lyrics, and the ever-accelerating beats will leave you breathless. The song throws you into a maelstrom of emotions, reflecting the whirlwind of life's fast happenings.

The lyrics reveal a sense of disorientation and a struggle to find one's identity in a world filled with information and stimuli. The song speaks to the uncertainty and vulnerability many experience in the modern age, challenging us to reconnect with our own emotions and question the reality that surrounds us.

Last year saw their debut live show at The Great Escape in Brighton to rapturous praise. Festival performances followed at 2000 Trees in the UK and support on the bill at BST Hyde Park with Pearl Jam, then played their first Italian show in front of 10,000 people in Mantova Italy, supporting Placebo. To see the year out they played with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.

This year has seen shows at The Great Escape, Brighton, played in front of over 3000 people at the first Slam Dunk in Italy, followed by support slots with Dead Poets Society in Holland, and shows this Summer with Placebo at Lucca Festival (It.), Imola (It.), and Moon & Stars (Switz.)

On the previous singles they received widespread support from streaming platforms including New Music Friday Spotify across Europe, as well as key playlists including All New Rock, The New Alt, Pop Rock Shot, Alternative Beats, Rock Italia and New Noise. They also clocked support on Amazon Music from their Fresh Rock and New Rock playlists.

Across the airwaves, Jack Saunders has supported on BBC Radio 1 ‘Future Artists’. Alex Baker at Kerrang! Radio supported the last single and made it his Fresh Blood track, plus strong regional UK radio (Primordial, Student Netwerk, Total Rock, Amazing etc). Outside the UK, airplay in Italy (extraRADIO)), Germany (NRW/ CT Das Radio)), France (Oui FM), Benelux (MINT radio), Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe.

TV synchs featured in the opening episode of last season‘s Love Island on ITV, BBC Match of the Day in the UK, and Sky Sports Formula 1, ‘When The Lights Fade Out’ in the Singapore grand prix coverage.
