WOLVES AT THE GATE - Share Their Intimate Version of Jon Bellion's Hit "Stupid Deep"

Post-hardcore outfit Wolves At The Gate has shared an intimate version of Jon Bellion's hit "Stupid Deep" via Solid State. Previously the band has released two other cover songs, "Attack" (Thirty Second To Mars) and "Heathens" (Twenty One Pilots).

"It’s easy to say that we all were individually drawn to the lyrical depth in this song. The simplicity of the arrangement and lyrics made the message and song so powerful" share the band "It took a few tries to get this song to a place that truly captured the emotion, but we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. When the initial demo got sent out, a couple of the guys didn’t realize it was a cover and just thought it was a new song demo. What made that interesting was seeing their reaction when they listened to the original and saw how we could put a very different spin on a song way outside of our own genre. Jon Bellion is such an inspiring artist because of his insane creativity and how visceral the creative process is for him. As soon as I heard this song, I went on a deep dive to find everything else he had created. I went down the YouTube rabbit hole and continued to be inspired by someone who throws the rule book out when he creates. He has documented a lot of his creative processes for all to see and it truly has been inspirational to watch. It would be disingenuous to deny that the lyrics of this song have brought tears to my eyes many times. It's such a wonderful expression of the need for grace and free availability of that grace. I hope we can give listeners the emotional journey we all experienced when we first heard this track".
