Austin, Texas is arguably one of the greatest music cities in America. Known as the live music
capital of the world, it's home to some of the best venues, coolest music festivals and hottest
new bands around. The latest and greatest new band to emerge from this diverse and eclectic
scene is Bridges Ablaze. The band began in the minds of Brien Allen and Ruben Zamora, two
virtuoso guitarists who don’t bend their identity to any one idea. While clearly soaked in heavy
metal, this band actively displays their influences ranging from Jazz, death metal and beyond.
Their latest single “Never Too Late” is a song about being on the edge. It is a song about being
caught within the vice grip of an affliction. It is a song about struggling to see the light when
one’s inner mental and emotional storm becomes too torrential to see through.
Be it depression, addiction, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, or trauma, these things can make life very
difficult. This song is about facing those dark thoughts and obstacles, and outlasting them.
This song is about never giving up in the fight against these inner demons. That is precisely the
core message that “Never Too Late” is trying to convey - that it is truly never too late to change,
that hope is always just beyond one’s fingertips, and that all anyone can do to actualize such
hope is hold on.
Bred by an “all-in” passion and a mutual disdain for the status-quo, Austin, Texas’ Bridges Ablaze is the
predestined voice for a generation that refuses to be put into a box. The duo, composed of Brien Allen
and Ruben Zamora, doesn’t bend their identity to any one idea. Rather, they draw from specific
influences, ranging from death metal to jazz and beyond, to craft their own sound that is equal parts
unique and anthemic.
Bridges Ablaze’s debut original single, “Hellbent”, exploded in a short matter of time. Garnering the band
over 205k views in 2 short months on youtube and almost 1 million streams across streaming platforms.
The band provides a soundscape that blurs the lines between sub-genres in a way that is raw, honest,
and ready to take over the world. It is indicative of a band with everything on the line to have their music
and message heard by the masses, no holds barred.
“Hellbent” comes on the heels of the band’s recently released 30 Seconds To Mars cover of “The Kill”.
This cover of the hit single has amassed nearly 150,000 streams on Spotify alone and continues to turn
heads with its reimagined hooks.
With a bold statement to make and no desire to conform any time soon, Bridges Ablaze looks to the
future with a focused sense of purpose and a will to change the modern rock world as it stands.
Be prepared for the bite that’s coming.
