CELESTIAL SON - Present Their New Music Video and Single "Lord of Karma"

Copenhagen-based electronic, progressive rock trio CELESTIAL SON sets out to uncover the unexplored and exciting intersection between modern synth-wave, pop of the 80’s, 70’s progressive art-rock and the 90’s melodic grunge. Today the band present their melodic synthwave pop rock single 'Lord of Karma' - check out the accompanying music video above.

“Lord of Karma is one of my favorite songs on our new album. It has a very distinct mood and a couple of melodies that I’m really proud of. Writing it was a profound experience for me, and I have this clear before and after feeling attached to it. Mainly because the emotions depicted in the lyrics and melodies are so precise to what I was going through at the time. It struck a chord, and since then, it is like it has become a part of my DNA. The lyrics revolve around love and way that it can be both an escape and a savior. It can be love for another person, a thing, or whatever. I’ve had periods in my life where love was an escape and somehow saved me too. Maybe this is something you can relate to - I don't know, but I think it is an interesting concept to examine", vocalist and songwriter Rasmus Sjøgren muses.

Since being founded in 2003, CELESTIAL SON has released the EP ‘Misanthropia’ (2007), and two albums, ‘Doors of Perception’ (2011) and ‘Saturn’s Return’ in 2015. During the years, the band has toured extensively both nationwide and abroad, garnering a lot of admiration for their captivating, candid and astonishingly tight performances. In 2022, the band will be getting ready to release their third LP ‘Planetaria’, which has been produced by the bands very own Rasmus Sjøgren.
