SICKSEED - Release Third Single "Facehugged"

Five-piece metal band SICKSEED, are gearing up for the release of their debut LP ‘Goregeous’ – a ten track horror movie tribute album, that will bring the listeners into a dark and gloomy place. Today they present their third and final single ‘Facehugged’ - a tribute to Ridley Scott's 'Alien' & James Cameron's 'Aliens', but also to the one and only Bill Paxton. Check out the accompanying lyric video BELOW!

“'Facehugged' pays homage to the first two installments of the 'Alien' franchise, and was written to honor the memory of the legendary Bill Paxton, may he rest in peace! Ridley Scott made history with Alien in ‘79, and James Cameron took the story of Ellen Louise Ripley and the terrifying Xenomorph to a whole new level with the release of Aliens in ‘86. You would be hard pressed to find a more impactful creature in movie history. With 'Facehugged', we attempted to match the aggressive nature of the Xenomorph by delivering a track that mixes speedy, atmospheric and heavy parts into one chronicle, told from the perspective of a facehugger victim and the horrors that bursts from his chest”, vocalist Dennis Pedersen muses.

Since being formed, the band has released their EP ‘The Saints of Hatred’ (2010) and played countless shows on the Danish underground metal scene with bands such as Illdisposed, Nothing Noble, a.o. After over a decade of lineup changes and a hiatus, they are now back and, more than ever, ready to present their new album ‘Goregeous’. The upcoming full-length album has been produced by Tue Madsen and is set to be released on June 10.

The new single 'Facehugged' is already available on all streaming services.
