THE MAINE - Release Acoustic/Piano Version Of "Sticky" Feat. SHAED

Alternative-Rock band, The Maine, today release an acoustic, piano version of their radio hit “Sticky”, featuring SHAED. SHAED is best known for their breakthrough single “Trampoline” which is certified 2x Platinum and has been streamed over 2 billion times. Their new album High Dive is out now.

“Sticky” is the first single from The Maine’s upcoming eighth studio LP, XOXO: From Love And Anxiety In Real Time due out on July 9, 2021 via Photo Finish Records in partnership with their 8123 imprint and distributed by Virgin Music Label and Artist Services.

The acoustic version of “Sticky” offers a more intimate and gentle take on the song. In this stripped down performance lead singer John O’Callahan’s voice is heartfelt and compassionate and is beautifully complemented by SHAED singer Chelsea Lee’s powerful voice. This more raw version of “Sticky” turns the song into a thoughtful and graceful love song.

John says, “I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard Chelsea’s voice on this tune. She took it to a whole different realm; vulnerable yet so convicted. I hope you get the same goosebumps I did after hearing this piano version of the song!”

SHAED says, “When they sent us the song, it was quite literally sticking to our brains! We had a blast hopping on this one.”

“Sticky”, currently sits at #22 on Billboard’s Alternative chart and the song recently debuted on the “Alt 18” on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation.

Since the release of “Sticky” The Maine have been steadily putting out new music including “April 7” and most recently “Lips”. The songs have amassed over 9 million combined streams as fans await the release of the full record.

Since earlier in the year, The Maine has hosted a live streamed performance, played locally out of the back of a truck in front of fans’ houses, and most recently performed at a Phoenix Suns game during the NBA Playoffs.

The Maine will head out on tour alongside All Time Low, Movements, Greyscale, and Destroy Boys, on the Sad Summer Festival.
