ROMOURS - Reveal "Neurosis" ft. Will King of Windwaker Ahead of EP Release

Melbourne alternative rockers Rumours are back to share one last single, "Neurosis" featuring Will King (Windwaker), before the drop of their epic sophomore EP, 'If Only You Could Feel Something Too' - out next Friday March 19.

Produced by Chris Lalic (Windwaker), "Neurosis" is a song about feeling defeated and longing to feel something more. The music video, produced by Colin Jeffs (Tens Of Swords Media) premiered at Hysteria Mag yesterday, where vocalist Jackson Bentley explained the premise behind the single:

"I was living with a good friend who took me in, [and] my life was in just utter shambles ... I had no job, no direction, living with this guy that was so full of life, very vibrant–I was the complete opposite. I was sitting on his couch one night and honestly, feeling like a total piece of shit."

"I can remember the first sentence of the song, ‘I don’t want to be myself anymore’, just kind of flowed out and it just came to life from there on. It wasn’t a suicidal thought or lyric, I just didn’t want to be me, I wanted to be this other person I was living with and embody what they were doing." Rumours announced their forthcoming EP, 'If Only You Could Feel Something Too' promoting individualism and self expression late January, and have since released two powerful singles in the lead up, "MANIA" and title track "If only you could feel something too".

The band have been kicking goals this release, with a couple of radio premiere's and plays on triple j's Short. Fast. Loud, Home and Hosed and triple j Unearthed - accompanied by a handful of rave reviews, radio rotation and an addition to the podcasts 'Top 5 Songs Of The Week'. Rumours also featured in Tone Deaf, Music Feeds and Alternative Press' '40 New Artists You Need To Hear in March', who shared their thoughts on the previous single: "With danceable beats and a grooving drop, the band break it down with dark riffs and captivating gang harmonies."

Rumours is Jackson Bentley (vocals), Harry Coote (guitar), Dustin Bayley (bass) and Benjamin Canham (guitar). The four piece spent the last year solidifying a loyal following and working towards a release to be proud of.

Earlier singles "Paralysed" and "Incredulous" made waves with plays on triple j and RAGE, rotation on Unearthed, over 400,000 streams on Spotify (and counting), both appeared in The Faction's Hardest 100 countdown and featured in Music Feeds - who drew comparisons to the genre defying Ocean Grove. Music Feeds also commented with:

"Grooves like thunder. The eerie synth soundscapes, grungey, nu-metal inflected verses and soaring anthemic choruses make for one wild ride (that you’ll want to line up for again straight away)."

Drawing from the likes of Don Broco, Grimes, Halsey and Muse, Rumours have evolved to showcase a carefully crafted sound that appeals to pop lovers, headbangers and everything in between. Stay tuned for 'If Only You Could Feel Something Too' - out next Friday March 19. For now, "Neurosis" ft. Will King is out now to now to stream and purchase everywhere.
