NAIL SPLITTER - Drops Debut Single "Never Sleep Again"

New Denver Deathcore outfit, Nail Splitter have released their debut single "Never Sleep Again".

The lyrics of Never Sleep Again tell the story of a young mage who wandered deep into a witch’s psychic domain while clumsily astral projecting. After being caught, she haunts his dreams until his psyche blocks them out entirely because of the deep agony his subconscious is in. He tries his hardest to undo the mistake he's made, but to no avail. The witches spell prevails.

Digging deeper into the symbolic meaning, it has to do with the veils we put over our eyes to stop ourselves from chasing dreams. The tendency to blame others for our shortcomings, or the unsatisfactory nature of our lives is all too human. Blindly pushing forward into something we have no understanding of, instead of taking a step back, continuing to destroy the bodies we've been given. It's no wonder we've been cursed into the physical limits of our consciousness; how much chaos and destruction could be unleashed on all had we been allowed to stay in that hallowed place.

Nail Splitter is a deathcore band based in Denver, CO featuring bone crushing breakdowns, hypnotizing dissonance, symphonic melody, and demonic growls and screams rising from the depths of the void.

Born into the cold world as a tribute to the origins of deathcore, Nail Splitter released their first demo in the Summer of 2019. Inspired by Myspace era bands like Whitechapel and Rose Funeral, the demo was written and produced as a three piece, with Jake handling bass and drum programming, Christian on guitars and mixing, and Xulxer performing vocals. After a year of searching for the right line-up, Nail Splitter welcomed Cody and Conor to the band and began rehearsing. Months of writing, practice and soul searching has culminated in what is to be the band's debut EP, Hail To Agony. In the last days of this brutal year, Nail Splitter will release their first single, Never Sleep Again, produced by Mane Cabrales.
