THE DOVES is a brand new rock-duo from the outskirts of Copenhagen, delivering hard hitting drum grooves and dirty guitar riffs, combined with sexy vocals and a catchy hook. If you like your Royal Blood with a mix of Nothing But Thieves, these two gents will be right up your alley. Today the duo is ready to make waves with their debut single ‘Devil’s Call’:
“This is the first song we wrote together that really captured our sound - it kicks ass, it’s loads of fun to play, and our personalities really shine through on this one.”, guitarist and co-vocalist Josh Grant explains.
THE DOVES consists of the two members; Josh Grant and Andreas Baarsøe, who have shared the stage for over 10 years while accumulating a ton of experience from the rock- and metal scene. Neither shy away from changing up the instruments to make their songs come to life and while Andreas Baarsøe will usually set the tone from his drum kit, as Josh Grant grabs the guitar, they both share the duties as lead singer, interchangeably. With the simple outset of exploring what two people can create together musically, the duo draws inspiration from a range of different styles - from the raw and offhand riffings of Royal Blood and canadian Reignwolf, to the more polished and grand compositions of Muse and Nothing But Thieves.
Working with Christoffer Stjerne (H.E.R.O) and Mirza Radonjica (Siamese, MØL, Cabal), the ambitions have been high from the get-go. THE DOVES are ready to make their mark on the alternative rock scene with the coming catchy and compelling singles.
