Metal quintet FRAGMENTS from the busy city of Manila, Philippines have released their latest piece “Meathook”, the first single from the band’s upcoming debut album set to be heard by the world before the year ends. Though Fragments have been known to their listeners by usually tackling religious extremity in their past releases, in “Meathook”, they go political; inspired by the recent unfortunate happenings not only in the Philippines but the whole world.
“Meathook is about the coming of the end. Lyrically, it’s based on my view on what our world has become and how I see it’s going to be in the distant future. Mainly focused on what has been happening lately; being oppressed by our own governments and how people are rising up to them.
